An arm lift is a surgery that consists of removing excess fat and skin from the arms that have grown too much due to age or weight changes. When a person stretches their arms and notices a flap of skin and fat, they are a candidate for an arm lift.
There are two different types of facelift: for people with a slight excess of fat and skin, in which case the scar will be made in the armpit and will be completely hidden, or for those people in whom the excess of fat and skin extends almost to the elbow. In these cases it is necessary to combine a scar in the armpit with a longitudinal scar along the inner side of the arm up to the elbow. In some cases, the facelift can be combined with liposculpture of the arms, which will reduce the volume of fat around the arms and improve the result.
In these techniques, cosmetic surgery sutures are applied, which allow very good results to be obtained and are barely visible, as well as being placed on the inner side of each arm. In some patients who have undergone massive weight loss and have a large excess of skin on the chest contour, both surgeries can be combined, arm lift and chest lift, which will allow us to reduce the skin on the chest and back, extending the scar from the arm towards the armpit and from the armpit along the lateral edge of the chest to the abdomen.
