How Phalloplasty Works
We build the penis from a flap of skin and fat taken from another part of the body. We reconnect its blood vessels to keep the tissue alive, and its nerve so that it gains sensation. The clitoris stays in place, hidden deep beneath. The three options differ only in whether they include a hysterectomy and vaginal closure.
We build the penis only, either because your uterus has already been removed elsewhere and your vagina closed, or because you do not want either of these done.

The price of a phalloplasty includes your preoperative assessment, the evaluation consultation, the procedure and hospital stay, and follow-up appointments. When we remove the uterus at the same time, it also includes laboratory analysis of the removed tissue. If needed, it includes a blood test and an ultrasound.
Allow several months, sometimes up to a year. After a phalloplasty, the transplanted flap gradually settles during this time before taking on its final, natural appearance.
During a phalloplasty, we connect the genital nerve with the aim of achieving erogenous sensation. The clitoris stays in place, hidden deep beneath the new volume.
Not with phalloplasty alone. For intercourse, you need a penile implant, which we fit in a separate operation.
The price of phalloplasty does not include the penile implant or testicular implants: these are separate procedures, each with its own price.

A phalloplasty takes up the operating room for two full days and our waiting list is seven months. If you cancel a few days beforehand, those two days are lost, as we cannot reallocate them. The booking fee does not cover this.
No. Metoidioplasty builds a smaller penis from your clitoris, which has grown with hormone therapy. Erections come from the tissue itself, with no implant. It is a different balance between size and function.
