No. The result depends on how much your clitoris has grown on hormone therapy. We assess this at your consultation, and it determines the size we can achieve.

In principle, yes. You keep both touch and erogenous sensation, because the penis is created from your own clitoris. Orgasm is possible, but we cannot guarantee it.

Possibly, if we reconstruct the urethra (the tube that carries urine), but this is not guaranteed. Without this reconstruction, you will urinate sitting down, but you avoid the risk of leaks (fistulas) and narrowing (strictures).

No. Metoidioplasty costs the same with or without urethral reconstruction. Few patients choose this option, and those who do avoid urethral fistulas and strictures.

Metoidioplasty works with your own tissue: erections come from the clitoral tissue itself, with no implant. Phalloplasty gives natural length, but erections need an implant, fitted in a separate operation. It comes down to a trade-off between size and function.

Yes. If you prefer not to combine them, we can perform the hysterectomy and vaginal closure in a separate operation before your metoidioplasty.
