What does the price include?

The price includes your preoperative assessment, the evaluation consultation, the surgery, your hospital stay for full rhinoplasty, and your follow-up appointments. Tip and dorsal hump surgery are outpatient procedures: you go home the same day.

Can the tip and the hump be corrected at the same time?

Yes. Dr. Jesús Lago can treat the tip and the dorsal hump in a single operation, under general anesthesia.

When will I see the final result?

After full rhinoplasty, the final result takes one to two years to settle. You can return to sports after six weeks.

The risks of rhinoplasty include hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin), infection, bleeding, and a result that isn't what you were hoping for. We go through them with you at your consultation.

Is it the same as feminizing rhinoplasty?

No. Aesthetic rhinoplasty aims for a nose that is in harmony with your face. Feminizing rhinoplasty works on the angles of the nose.

Rhinoplasty in Practice

We tailor the surgery to what needs correcting. Full rhinoplasty treats the whole nose, including your breathing, under general anesthesia. If only the tip or the bridge (the dorsum) needs work, we do it under local anesthesia and you go home the same day. If both need correcting, we treat them together under general anesthesia.

We sculpt the bone with ultrasonic instruments, which cut bone while sparing the surrounding skin, blood vessels and cartilage. This means a shorter recovery. If your airway is blocked, we also correct the septum (septoplasty). A splint protects your nose for the first week.
