Yes, for a while. You may have less feeling in your lower lip or the skin around it, because we work close to the nerve that supplies the lip and chin. Sensation comes back gradually.

Yes. The operation reshapes the bone, and your jaw keeps its new shape.

No. Pain is mild to moderate and well controlled. What most people find uncomfortable is the swelling and tightness, which make chewing harder for the first few days.

Not for the first few days: stick to soft foods. You can then gradually go back to your usual diet.

Yes, and many patients do. Jaw feminization is often combined with forehead feminization, feminizing rhinoplasty, Adam's apple reduction or cheekbone feminization. Dr. Jesús Lago will discuss with you whether it is better to do everything in one operation or in stages.
