Facelift
As we age, the tissues and fat of the face and neck gradually slip downward. A facelift lifts them back into place from the deeper layers, without stretching the skin, for a younger face that still looks natural. Dr. Jesús Lago operates at Clínica 3 de Mayo in Madrid, for patients from the UK, Ireland and beyond. The procedure costs €3,450 to €6,950, all-inclusive, depending on the extent of the lift.

The Facelift in Practice
A full facelift treats all four levels of the face, from the neck up to the forehead. A brow lift treats only the upper face: the forehead and the eyebrows.
We lift the tissues level by level, from the neck to the forehead, then remove the excess skin without pulling it tight. Because the repositioning is done in the deeper layers, the result lasts. The operation is under general anesthesia, with one night in the hospital.

The price includes your preoperative assessment, the evaluation consultation, the surgery, your hospital stay for a full facelift, and your follow-up appointments. A brow lift is an outpatient procedure: you go home the same day.
It treats all four levels of the face: the forehead, the midface, the lower face and the neck. That's why it is also called a face and neck lift.
Pulling the skin sideways leaves a stretched, "done" look that people notice. Dr. Jesús Lago first lifts the deeper structures and fat that have dropped, then removes the excess skin without tension. That is what keeps the result natural.
After a full facelift, plan to spend at least two weeks at home. You can get back to your usual activities after three weeks.
A facelift involves working close to deep structures, including the facial nerve, so there is a risk of injury to this nerve. We discuss it with you at your consultation, based on your own anatomy.
It is a partial facelift, done under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, and costs €3,950. We'll confirm how long the operation takes and what recovery involves at your consultation.
No. Eye and brow feminization uses two small incisions and mainly lifts the tail of the eyebrow. A brow lift uses a full-length incision along the hairline and rejuvenates the whole forehead.
