Chin Augmentation in Practice
There are two possible approaches. Going through the mouth hides the scar, but the risk of infection is higher. Going under the chin lowers the risk of infection, but leaves a small scar.
We insert a solid silicone implant under local anesthesia, and you go home the same day. You can see the difference right away.

We decide together: under the chin, which leaves a small scar, or through the mouth, which hides the scar but carries a higher risk of infection.
The risks are implant movement, infection and extrusion (where the implant gradually works its way out through the tissues). Our implants are CE marked and made in the European Union. Solid silicone does not break down over time.
Not in the long term. Dermal fillers, done in the office, build up the chin, but the body gradually absorbs the product and you need repeat injections. A solid silicone chin implant does not break down over time.
