What does the price include?

The price of buttock augmentation covers the preoperative assessment, the evaluation consultation, the operation and hospital stay, your follow-up appointments and a follow-up ultrasound. With fat transfer, it also covers contouring the area the fat is taken from.

Am I suitable for buttock implants?

Buttock implants are for people with flat buttocks, as long as the skin is still firm and the buttock crease remains well defined.

Why is the implant placed inside the muscle?

So that it doesn't show. Inside the gluteus maximus, the implant is covered by muscle. If it were placed just under the fat, its outline would show through the skin and distort the shape of the buttock.

Can hyaluronic acid fillers be used instead?

Yes, for a moderate increase. We inject around 130 ml under local anesthesia and you go home the same day. The filler is absorbed over 12 to 18 months, and we will give you the price at your consultation. If the skin has started to sag and the buttock crease is fading, neither implants nor fillers will be enough, and we would talk to you about a buttock lift instead.

Is it the same operation as in body feminization?

Yes, as far as implants are concerned: aesthetic buttock augmentation and feminizing buttock augmentation use the same type of intramuscular implant. In feminization, it is one of several procedures that create a more feminine figure.

How Buttock Augmentation Works

Implants give the most noticeable increase in volume, provided your skin is firm and the buttock crease well defined. Fat transfer, using your own fat, suits a more moderate increase if you have enough fat to spare. Dr. Jesús Lago will decide on the technique with you at your consultation.

We make an incision in the natural cleft between the buttocks, where the scar stays hidden, and place the implant inside the gluteus maximus muscle. When you leave the hospital, you are given your implant card (serial number, reference and brand), so you always know which implant you have. You can sit within the first few days.
