How the Operation Works
We preserve the blood vessels and nerves supplying the areola and nipple to protect sensation. We also rebuild the breast's internal support using its ligaments, so the shape holds over time. The areola is reduced during the same operation. Afterward, you will need to wear a bra day and night.

The most serious risk of breast reduction is necrosis (tissue death) of the areola and nipple: if the tissue loses its blood supply, it cannot survive. That is why we keep the areola attached to its blood vessels and nerves throughout the operation.
