Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

The price of a breast lift covers your preoperative assessment, the evaluation consultation, the operation and hospital stay, follow-up appointments and a follow-up ultrasound. With the implant technique, it also covers the EUROSILICONE implant, placed under the muscle.

During a breast lift, Dr. Jesús Lago rebuilds the breast's support on its three ligaments (axillary, para-external and Cooper's) instead of leaving the skin to carry its weight alone. That is why the operation takes four to five hours.

It depends on how much volume is left after pregnancy or with age. If there is not enough for the shape you want, we combine the lift with an implant.

After major weight loss, the breasts have lost almost all their volume and there is little tissue left to cover an implant. In this case, Dr. Jesús Lago uses a different technique, explained on its own page.

With an implant-assisted lift, we place the implant under the muscle, covered by the breast tissue. In our experience, this position makes visible rippling under the skin very rare.

Reshaping the breast tissue can change nipple sensation. You will be able to breastfeed if enough of the gland remains connected to the nipple; we will talk this through at your consultation, based on your anatomy.

The shape is final after a year: that is how long it takes for the swelling (edema) to settle and the breast to take its final shape. At that point, we recommend a follow-up mammogram.

We keep an eye on it at your follow-up appointments. If tension on the scar warrants it, we can carry out a local scar revision.
