What does the €6,950 include?

The price of calf implants covers your preoperative assessment, consultation, the operation and hospital stay, the implants (one in each calf), follow-up appointments and a follow-up ultrasound. If you need two implants per calf, we will prepare a quote for you.

Will I need a checkup afterward?

Yes. We do a follow-up ultrasound to check that the implants are intact and in the right position.

They are the same as for any silicone implant: bruising, fluid buildup, persistent swelling, rupture of the implant or a gel leak. If you notice anything unusual, we'll see you again to check.

Will my implants need to be replaced after a set time?

No, but we do recommend long-term follow-up, because an implant can rupture and leak gel.

Calf Implants

Calf implants add volume to the calf when the muscle won't develop enough on its own. Dr. Jesús Lago operates at Clínica 3 de Mayo in Madrid and welcomes patients from the UK, Ireland and beyond. The procedure costs €6,950, all-inclusive, for one implant in each calf. If you need two implants per calf, we will prepare a quote for you.

What the Operation Involves

We place the implant in the calf through an incision in the hollow behind the knee. You will need to rest for the first few days: until the implant has settled, walking can move it out of place.
