How Anal Aesthetic Surgery Works
Depending on your situation, we either smooth out irregular skin around the anus or reconstruct the area after previous surgery. Recovery involves sitz baths and careful washing for several weeks.
Under local anesthesia, we remove the excess skin and stitch the edge of the anus. You go home the same day. We can also treat a small hemorrhoid or a fissure during the same operation.

After hemorrhoids, a fissure or a fistula (a small abnormal channel), we reconstruct the skin and sometimes the muscle underneath. Most patients go home the same day. If the area is badly damaged, we plan for an epidural and one night at the clinic.

Yes. After anal aesthetic surgery, you can have anal sex again after four to six weeks, once we have checked that everything has healed. If the edge of the anus is made too smooth and tight, sex can become more painful, so before the operation we discuss with you how much elasticity to keep.
Because stools pass through this area and carry a lot of bacteria, so wounds there are slower to heal. That is why hygiene matters just as much as the operation itself for the final result.
